Industrial Careers Pathway job board options added
The Industrial Careers Pathway has added an option to boost participation among distributors in its service.
"Employers who register with the ICP Job Board can search posted resumes in the resume bank for free, even without placing a help wanted ad," said Mary Jawgiel. She is the ICP program director for Industrial Careers Pathway, an initiative of an alliance of three industry organizations including Industrial Supply Association Foundation, NAHAD-The Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution, and PTDA Foundation. “There is absolutely no cost involved to look at posted resumes,” she said.
While searching, employers might stumble across the resume of Sergeant First Class, Andrew Michael Pelc who has spent over 17 years in the U.S. Army earning numerous awards and medals for his service. Sgt. 1st Class Pelc is an example of someone who could work for an industrial distributor in customer service, outside sales or any number of positions based on his military experience. Although currently employed, Pelc said he would welcome the opportunity for a business-to-business sales position, should he get a call from an industrial distributor through the ICP Job Board.
The resume bank contains thousands of resumes available for employers to explore by location or through keyword searches on the ICP Job Board. In addition, employers can post specific jobs to the Job Board designating “industrial distribution” as a field of work, a unique feature for any job board on the market today, it is believed.
The new ICP Job Board is located directly at http://jobs.idcareers.org and is also available through the Jobs tab at the ICP website, http://www.industrialcareerspathway.org. Any company can post help wanted ads on the ICP Job Board to gain awareness and recognition for their industrial distribution job openings. Alliance partner member companies can also gain discount codes to make their job postings even more affordable by calling their respective association office or contacting ICP directly.
