Jergens acquires John M. Allen Co.
Jergens Industrial Supply, a division of Jergens Inc., has acquired the John M. Allen Company of Brookpark, Ohio.
Founded in 1953, John M. Allen Co. is a distributor of metalworking consumables including cutting tools, carbide and other tool inserts, abrasives, metal working fluids, drills, machine tools and accessories, MRO and vending inventory management.
“By bringing together JIS and the John M. Allen Company, we will be able to leverage the knowledge, experiences and relationships both companies have within the marketplace to better serve manufacturing end users not only in northeast Ohio, but nationwide,” said Matt Schron, JIS General Manager. He adds that the acquisition also gives JIS the opportunity to partner with and represent additional leading metal cutting industry suppliers, while also improving customer experience by continuing to increase efficiency.
