Butler Bros. acquires Soluble Solutions

Butler Bros. of Lewiston, Maine, announced that it has acquired Soluble Solutions Inc.


The SSI staff, including owners Philip Cocke and Ken Fain, will join Butler Bros. following the acquisition. The acquisition coincides with the opening of a new stocking branch location for Butler Bros. in Greensboro, North Carolina.

SSI was founded in 1997 by Philip Cocke and Kenneth Fain. Located in Asheville, North Carolina, the company has seven employees seven. SSI’s customers include manufacturers in aerospace, medical, automotive, and general machining industry. SSI was consistently among the top three distributors in sales in the United States for Blaser Swisslube over its 20 years of business.

Butler Bros., a 65-year-old family owned and operated company, is one of Blaser Swisslube’s largest distributors. Butler Bros. also offers other industrial products including cutting tools, abrasives, safety products, along with offering a full-line of vending solutions and integrated partnership programs. 

In addition to the new Greensboro branch and the headquarters in Lewiston, Maine, Butler Bros. has branch office locations in Randolph, Massachusetts, New London, New Hamphsire, East Syracuse, New York.
