FCX Performance acquires Pierce Pump

Columbus, Ohio-based FCX Performance has acquired Pierce Pump Company L.P. of Dallas.

Founded in 1897, Pierce is a distributor of pumps, mechanical seals and compressed air equipment serving Dallas and the north Texas market. The company also offers a suite of aftermarket parts and service offerings that provide a total lifecycle solution to its customers. This acquisition further expands FCX’s presence in the fast growing Texas market, which it originally entered in 2010 following the acquisition of Baro Holdings.

"We welcome the employees, customers and vendors of Pierce Pump to the FCX family," said Charles M. Simon, CEO of FCX Performance. “We are very impressed by the caliber of the Pierce Pump staff as well as Don and Jim Reece, the former owners of Pierce who will continue to run the newly acquired business on a day-to-day basis." Simon said the two companies have similar cultures that emphasize customer service, vendor relationships and a focus on providing long-term, rewarding growth opportunities for associates.

“Pierce Pump fits perfectly with our strategy of buying quality process flow control distribution and service providers that further expand our served geography and service and solution offerings,” said Charles Hale, FCX president. He said the company anticipates additional acquisitions in 2013.

Harvest Partners is the majority shareholder of FCX Performance, an industrial, specialty process flow control distribution company that serves original equipment manufacturers and engineering and construction firms in the process, energy and high purity industries.
