Attendance up at AD Bearings & Power Transmission meeting
Attendance was up 18 percent at the third annual AD Winter Meeting of the AD Bearings & Power Transmission group.
More than 125 participants from member and supplier organizations attended the meeting at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Jan. 17-19.
Throughout the meeting, members and suppliers heard updates on a variety of AD programs, including; eCommerce Solutions, HR Services, and Procurement Services. Another focus of this year’s meeting was AD’s Market Planning and Conversion Program.
“In two short years AD’s Bearings and Power Transmission Division has grown to the largest group of independent bearings and PT distributors in North America. Their unity and commitment to supporting AD suppliers preferentially is unwavering. Similarly the AD supplier partners are being rewarded for their support of independent distribution. It was great to see this on display at this year's Winter Meeting,” said Jack Templin, president of AD Industrial.
The following awards were presented to companies for their participation and commitment to AD. Suppliers voted B&D Technologies as the Member of the Year; Bearings Limited received the Supplier of the Year Award voted on by members. Member Performance 2017 recognition went to Purvis Industries (Tier 1) and Snake River Supply (Tier 2). Supplier Performance 2017 recognition went to Conveyors Inc. (Tier 1) and Ringspann (Tier 2). Largest Growth Percentage for a Network went to Network 902 (BDS, CBT, French Gerleman, Malloy Industrial Services and State Electric Supply Co. Inc.).
