Ingersoll Rand sales up 8 percent
Ingersoll-Rand plc reported net revenues of $3.62 billion for the fourth quarter of 2017, an 8 percent increase from $3.35 billion in the prior year's fourth quarter.
Net earnings of $457 million compared to earnings of $203 million in the fourth quarter last year.
For the full year, sales of $14.2 billion were 5.1 percent greater than $13.5 billion reported in 2016. Full-year earnings decreased by 12 percent to $1.3 billion from $1.5 billion in the previous year.
In the fourth quarter, Industrial segment revenues of $858 million increased 7 percent from $800 million in the same period last year.
