Chicago Fed National Activity Index declines
Led by declines in production-related indicators, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index decreased to -0.32 in January from +0.25 in December.
Three of the four broad categories of indicators that make up the index decreased from December, and only two of the four categories made positive contributions to the index in January.
The index’s three-month moving average, CFNAI-MA3, increased to +0.30 in January from
+0.23 in December.
