Winsupply acquires K&J Supply

Winsupply Inc. has purchased majority ownership of K&J Supply, Pensacola, Fla., a distributor of industrial pipe, valves and fittings that serves the Gulf Coast.

The president is Mike O’Neill, who holds substantial equity in the company that will do business as K&J Winsupply.

“K&J Supply has been involved in the distribution of pipe, valves and fittings (PVF) and other industrial products since its inception in January 1994,” said Roland Gordon, president of Winsupply. “Their business culture is a great match with Winsupply. By providing superb service, delivering quality work and retaining excellent employees, K&J has differentiated itself from its competitors along the Gulf Coast"

From its headquarters in Pensacola and a second location in Mobile, Ala., K&J serves the heavy industry, dealing with customers in power generation, pulp and paper, chemical, petro-chemical and shipyard industries.

“This acquisition gives Winsupply an important footprint in industrial PVF in the Gulf Coast area. We already have four Winsupply plumbing locations in the same area serving commercial and residential contractors from Mobile to Fort Walton Beach, Fla.," said Gordon.

K&J Winsupply has 30 employees total in the two locations.

In addition to O’Neill, other key managers will be offered the opportunity to purchase equity in K&J Winsupply. In the Winsupply co-ownership business model, Winsupply Inc. has majority equity in each of its locations, while the local company presidents and sometimes employees own substantial equity.
