Grainger April sales up 12%
Grainger reported sales for the month of April increased 12 percent versus April 2011.
Results included a 5 percentage point contribution from acquisitions. Excluding acquisitions, organic sales increased 7 percent, including 5 percentage points from volume and 3 percentage points from price, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from foreign exchange.
Sales in the United States increased by 7 percent, while sales in Canada logged a 9 percent gain (13% in local currency). Other businesses grew by 79 percent, or 20 percent excluding the Fabory acquisition.
