ISM: Manufacturing at highest level since Feb. 2015

Manufacturing expanded in June as the Institute for Supply Management Index registered 53.2 percent, an increase of 1.9 percentage points from the May reading of 51.3 percent.

The change represents growth in manufacturing for the fourth consecutive month, and is the highest reading since February 2015 when the PMI registered 53.3 percent. A reading above 50 percent indicates that the manufacturing economy is generally expanding; below 50 percent indicates that it is generally contracting.
