Singer Equities acquires Hanna Rubber
Singer Equities has acquired Hanna Rubber Company of Kansas City, Mo.
Founded in 1925, Hanna is an industrial rubber and plastics distributor specializing in gaskets, extruded and molded rubber products, plus offers a full line of industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings. Hanna will be Singer’s seventh platform company, and its first in the Midwest. Scott Assyia will serve as vice president and general manager, Al Kelly as vice president of sales and Dennis Logsdon will serve as vice president of plant operations.
Hanna Rubber Company was an asset of the estate of James B. Vandergrift, who owned and operated the company from 1974 until his death in 2009. Company chairman Connie Wodlinger represented the estate in the sale.
“We are very excited about the experienced and dedicated employees of Hanna Rubber that we are adding to our organization as well as the geographic footprint and product and end market diversification this acquisition provides,” said Singer Equities president Don Fritzinger.
Singer Equities is a group of value added distributors of industrial rubber products operating with six other platform companies—Allied Rubber and Supply, Hampton Rubber Company, National Hose and Accessory, PRC Industrial Supply, Spartan Industrial Products and R W Connection. Singer serves its customer base through 22 locations and offers a full range of hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings, gasket materials, conveyor belting and installation services, and other specialty fabricated products.
