Turtles & Hughes CEO wins award
Jayne Millard, CEO of Turtle & Hughes Inc., received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Award in the distribution, manufacturing and construction category in New Jersey.
The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Millard was selected by an independent panel of judges.
“This is a great honor for me and for every employee at Turtle & Hughes, who works hard every day to innovate and bring best practices to our customers,” Millard said on receiving the award.
Turtle & Hughes, established in 1923, is a fourth generation family-owned business with a long legacy of leadership by women. Millard is the third generation of women to lead the company. Turtle & Hughes is a $500 million revenue multi-commodity procurement company with 11 branch offices nationwide serving the industrial, construction, commercial, electrical contracting, export and utility markets.
As a New Jersey award winner, Millard is now eligible for consideration for the National Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Award.
