Motion and Flow Control acquires American Hose
Motion and Flow Control Products has acquired American Hose and Fittings Inc., a fluid connector distributor headquartered in Kent, Wash.
The company also has a location in the Seattle suburb of Ballard, Wash.
American Hose is a full-line distributor for Parker Hannifin's Fluid Connector Group. The company is focused on industrial fittings, hoses and related products, and serves as a stocking distributor for Parker's Instrumentation and Automation Groups. American Hose also has in-house equipment and capabilities to weld, fabricate and assemble custom metal hose assemblies.
"American Hose has an excellent customer base, and MFCP looks forward to extending our knowledgeable service and broad product offering to each of them," said John Niemi, president and CEO of Motion and Flow Control Products.
American Hose & Fittings owners Greg Bowman and Peter Grimes will join the senior management team of MFCP. Bowman will assist with operations, and Grimes will focus on sales and marketing. "As part of Motion and Flow Control Products, we'll be able to respond faster to customer needs across a wider geographic area," said Grimes. "Now we'll have the capital behind us to grow with industrial customers as they grow."
Bowman says the access to additional inventory and greater buying power will have a positive impact on customers. "Our ability to get the right parts to the job site is greatly enhanced with the MFCP network behind us."
Created in 2011 by the merger of McCoy Sales Corporation and Fluid Connector Products Inc., MFCP serves industrial customers in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and operates ParkerStore locations which supply OEM and MRO customers with direct access to the engineered industrial products and factory-trained personnel. MFCP's McCoy Sales division also operates as a manufacturer's representative for HVAC products, and provides engineered solutions for commercial, institutional, and residential HVAC customers.
Colville Capital acquired McCoy Sales in 2006 and Fluid Connector Products in 2011.
