Grainger July sales up 11%

Grainger said its July sales increased 11 percent versus July 2011.


Results for the month included a 5 percentage point contribution from acquisitions and a 2 percentage point decline from foreign exchange. Organic sales on a daily basis increased 8 percent, including 4 percentage points from volume and 4 percentage points from price.

Sales in the United States increased by 6%, while sales in Canada climbed 16% in local currency and the company's other businesses increased by 71%, or 17% excluding the acquisitions in Europe and Brazil.
