PTDA Business Index rises for 9th quarter
Power transmission/motion control distributors experienced growth for the ninth consecutive quarter according to the latest PTDA Business Index.
The PTDA Business Index second quarter reading of 54.2 compared with a reading of 75.4 for the first quarter. However, the results indicate the power transmission/motion control industry is still expanding but at a slower pace than before. Both distributors and manufacturers reported decelerated sales growth in 2Q12.
