Index points to slower economic growth
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index fell to –0.36 in July from +0.03 in June.
All four broad categories of indicators that make up the index decreased from June, and all four categories made negative contributions to the index in July. The index’s three-month moving average moved up to –0.14 in July from –0.30 in June. Click for details.
