NewAge Industries appoints new executive directors

Tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries announced the promotions of Robert Volk and Michael Allard to newly-created positions.

Volk is now the company’s executive director of operations, and Allard’s new position is executive director of sales and marketing.

“These moves were made to keep up with the growth of our organization and planning for the future,” said Ken Baker, CEO. “The changes will enhance communication between teams, improve collaboration and better utilize labor resources across teams.”

In his new position, Volk leads the manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and warehouse departments. Volk’s previous title was director of manufacturing, where he was responsible for planning and overseeing NewAge’s thermoplastic and thermoset tubing and molded components production, as well as the company’s engineering and facility functions. He has been with the company for three years.

“Having four related teams under the direction of one person will greatly increase our responsiveness to the customer,” said Baker. “This position is about getting the product designed, well made and shipped in a timely fashion. Everything and everyone has to work together.”

Allard’s new role as head of sales and marketing accomplishes a similar goal. “The sales and marketing teams have always worked closely with one another,” stated Baker, “and with one person at the helm, we’ll have an even more comprehensive approach to promoting and selling products.”

Allard, employed with the company for nearly five years, was hired as global sales manager for NewAge’s AdvantaPure biopharma tubing, hose, Single-Use Systems and molded components. He was later promoted to director of sales with responsibility for both NewAge Industries and AdvantaPure products.

Volk and Allard are now part of an executive team at NewAge Industries involved with major decisions regarding the company such as long-term strategies, personnel development and expansion. The executive team also includes Baker and employees from the company’s finance department.
