Amazon makes good on B2B threat
An analysis by Bloomberg's Brooke Sutherland says that Amazon is making inroads into the business-to-business world, including among buyers of industrial supplies.
Amazon announced earlier this week that its Amazon Business platform hit an annualized rate of $10 billion in global sales. That total puts the internet giant on a par with Grainger. "This isn’t a perfect comparison, but it’s striking how neck-and-neck Amazon has become with incumbents after only a few years," Sutherland writes.
