Alfa Tools founder dies
Diljit S. Ahluwalia, founder and chairman of Alfa Tools and National Abrasives and Tools divisions of Alfa Mfg. Industries Inc., died on Oct. 1 following a brief illness.
Dil passed peacefully, surrounded by his family. "Dil always demonstrated the finest humanitarian qualities - integrity, honesty, compassion and a quiet yet tireless strength. These are the cornerstones upon which he built and nurtured Alfa Tools," said Ross Shepard, Alfa Tools sales manager. "Upon this foundation and by his example, Alfa Tools will continue to grow and prosper. We have lost a great man, a wonderful leader and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him."
Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at the Haben Funeral Home, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL 60077 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
