Hultafors Group acquires Custom LeatherCraft
Hultafors Group of Goteborg, Sweden, announced the acquisition of Custom LeatherCraft Manufacturing LLC of South Gate, California.
Custom LeatherCraft Mfg. is a designer, developer and marketer of work gear, personal protective equipment and outdoor gear. Founded in 1983, the company’s products are marketed under the CLC brand in the United States and the Kuny’s Leather brand in Canada.

The acquisition is part of the Hultafors Group strategy to strengthen its presence in North America and to broaden the Hultafors Group portfolio within attractive professional user product categories.
Custom LeatherCraft will be integrated with Hultafors Group North America, and will report to Pete Chatel, president of Hultafors Group North America. Ron Pickens, CEO of CLC, and the rest of the executive team will remain in their current roles.
Hultafors Group brands include Snickers Workwear, Hultafors Tools, Johnson Level, Hellberg Safety, Wibe Ladders, Solid Gear, Dunderdon and Toe Guard.
