PTDA releases Power Transmission Handbook

The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) has released the fifth edition of the Power Transmission Handbook.

First published in 1969, PTDA’s Power Transmission Handbook is a comprehensive primer on the products, technology and concepts that move industry. According to PTDA, the fifth edition has been updated to improve clarity and increase comprehension, been reformatted for ease of reading and features nearly 400 pages of updated content, new graphics and added application examples.

A tool for both new and experienced distributor salespeople, the Power Transmission Handbook is a resource to educate new and current employees on PT/MC products, technologies and concepts, provide experience in solving problems and presenting solutions, apply fundamental engineering concepts, serve as a reference guide, and train customers on installation and maintenance.

Written for the entry-level individual in an easy-to-read format, the 17-chapter Power Transmission Handbook is designed for use in group-learning situations, as a self-study program or a reference guide. An accompanying Power Transmission Workbook includes true/false, multiple choice and short answer questions on each chapter. The Power Transmission Workbook may be used as a source of homework or quizzes in a classroom situation or as a self-study tool; a Power Transmission Answer Guide is also available.
