Rowland Company acquires Clutch Engineering
The Rowland Company of Philadelphia has acquired Clutch Engineering, Canton, Connecticut.
Clutch Engineering has been a specialty industrial distributor since 1960 serving New England in the markets of steel, paper, marine, and general manufacturing. Additional services include fabrication, engineering and rebuilding capabilities.
With the acquisition, The Rowland Company expands its territory into New England and will provide Clutch Engineering customers with access to a more diverse product line, increased inventory, responsive customer service, and professional application engineers. Clutch Engineering will continue to run as a stand-alone business using its own sales team, with customer service, engineering, accounting and warehousing being consolidated in Philadelphia.
The Rowland Company is a specialty distributor/fabricator of industrial power transmission components.
