Tencarva acquires GPM Industries
Tencarva Machinery Company announced the acquisition of GPM Industries, a Macon, Ga.-based distributor of pumps and pumping systems and related products.
The acquisition also included GPM's Savannah, Ga., location and its municipal group, GPM Environmental Inc. in the Atlanta area.
The two acquired entities have become the GPM Division of Tencarva.
Glenn Robinson, former owner and president of both companies, will work with Tencarva Machinery Company as a consultant for five years.
"GPM represents many of the fine manufacturers with whom Tencarva has existing relationships, such as Goulds, John Crane, Lightnin, and ITT ProServices. They have a strong service business and a customer-focused culture that is very compatible with Tencarva's," said Rod Lee, Tencarva president. "We have known and respected many of the GPM team for years and have worked in concert with them on a number of occasions. This cooperation and coordination will be enhanced with the common ownership."
Tencarva Machinery Company, headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., is a distributor specializing in pumps, liquid process, vacuum equipment and custom-designed systems for the industrial and municipal marketplace.
