Brunson motorized vertical tooling bar
Brunson Instrument Company's motorized vertical tooling bar (MVTB) provides users of laser trackers, laser radar, theodolites and other portable measurement devices with a stable metrology platform at high elevations up to 34’ (10.4m) above the plant floor.
The MVTB is a Brunson built-to-order product.
The remotely controlled MVTB stand is used for large scale metrology applications such as aircraft measurement inspection and high-bay satellite assembly. The customer’s metrology instrument is mounted on a motor driven carriage that is outfitted with a standard 3½"-8 thread. A hand-held pendant moves the carriage up and down the vertical rail. A motor brake holds the carriage in case of a power outage. Users can move the measurement devices around the shop floor using the casters (manually retracted trivet feet) under the heavy-duty tribrach base, or by low-speed towing vehicles.
