Weekly Pandemic Revenue Index falls 7.2 percent
Winter weather may be to blame for a drop in the weekly Pandemic Revenue Index for the work week of Feb. 15-19.
Indian River Consulting Group’s (IRCG) weekly Pandemic Revenue Index decreased 7.2 percent compared with the same week a year ago. The decline marks the first for the index since mid November.
The decrease was likely the result of nationwide weather issues. Those with operations in Texas were especially hard hit.
“Only four respondents reported increases, ranging from mid-single digits to 21 percent, while nine companies saw declines ranging from 1 percent to 42 percent. As we near the one-year anniversary of the index, we’ll be publishing some of the trends we’ve seen for the past 12 months as we wind the index down,” said Mike Emerson, IRCG partner.
