DXP Enterprises sales up 39.5%

DXP Enterprises announced that 3Q sales increased 39.5% to approximately $289.9 million.


After excluding sales from acquisitions, sales increased 7.4% from 2011, on a same store sales basis.

The Houston-based distributor had net income of $13.1 million, or 86 cents per share, compared to $8.3 million, or 55 cents per share, for the third quarter of 2011.

Net income for the first nine months was $36.9 million, with diluted earnings per share of $2.43 compared to net income of $22.2 million and diluted earnings per share of $1.47 for the first nine months of 2011. Sales for the nine month period increased 36.6% to approximately $804.1 million. After excluding sales from acquisitions, sales for the first nine months of 2012 increased 13.2% from 2011 on a same store sales basis.
