BlackHawk Industrial taps industry veteran to accelerate growth

BlackHawk Industrial, a market-leading distributor of metalworking and other mission-critical industrial products, appointed Ryan Esposito to the newly created position of chief commercial officer (CCO).


Ryan EspositoEsposito is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in industrial distribution and global sourcing. He brings a proven track record driving business transformation and enhancing commercial performance, and leading diverse teams across complex operating environments.

Esposito joins BlackHawk following a successful tenure as chief operating officer at Sowa Tool & Machine, where he led strategic initiatives that enhanced service levels, expanded market presence, and drove both commercial and operational performance.

Prior to Sowa, Esposito spent more than 20 years at MSC Industrial Direct, where he developed extensive expertise in metalworking strategy and category management. While at MSC, he implemented corporate growth strategies that elevated sales performance, integrated multiple acquisitions, strengthened associate retention, and improved operational efficiency across the organization.

As CCO, Esposito will oversee commercial strategy across Global Sales and Category Management. He will focus on revenue growth, strengthening account management discipline, expanding portfolio strategy, and ensuring consistent go-to-market execution across regions and national accounts.
