Ingersoll Rand sales up slightly
Ingersoll Rand reported net earnings of $152.4 million, or 58 cents per share, for the first quarter of 2016.
That compares to earnings of $51.3 million, or 22 cents, in the same period last year.
Net revenues of $2.9 billion were up slightly from $2.8 billion in the first quarter of 2015.
Sales in the industrial segment, which includes compressed air and gas systems and power tools, declined by 7 percent to $681 million from $729 million in the year-ago period.
