Cedar named DE-STA-CO president

Positioning and workholding manufacturer DE-STA-CO named Mats Ceder its new president, effective June 10.

Mats CederCeder succeeds John Podczerwinski, who announced his retirement after leading DE-STA-CO through three years of record earnings since joining the company in 2011.

Ceder comes to DE-STA-CO from Genesis Attachments, a global leader manufacturer of attachments for the demolition and scrap-processing industries, where he has served as vice president and general manager since 2009. Genesis was formerly a business unit within Paladin, a former Dover operating company. DE-STA-CO is a Dover Company, organized under the Engineered Systems segment.

Over the past five years at Genesis, Ceder successfully grew the business internationally with expansion in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. He also improved productivity and quality through implementation of the Toyota Production System. Prior to joining Paladin, he held roles of increasing leadership responsibility at Parker Hannifin in business unit management and global sales and marketing. Ceder earned a degree in electronics engineering in Sweden.

“DE-STA-CO is an admired industry leader with strong technology and market positions, a great product offering, global reach and excellent growth prospects. It is a pleasure for me to join the team," Ceder says.
