Airgas makes two acquisitions
Airgas announced that it recently acquired Monroe Welding Supply Inc. and Clark Industrial Supply Inc., both effective June 1.
Monroe Welding Supply, based out of a single location in Monroe, Louisiana, is a gas and welding distributor that generated $13.6 million in sales in calendar year 2015. Monroe’s 32 associates will join the Airgas Mid South Region.
Headquartered in San Jose, California, Clark Industrial Supply is a gas and welding distributor founded more than 30 years ago. Clark’s seven associates will join the Airgas Northern California and Nevada (NCN) Region. Clark Industrial Supply generated nearly $3 million in sales in calendar year 2015.
“Growth through acquisition has always been a core strategy and competency for Airgas, as evidenced in the nearly 500 acquisitions we’ve completed since our inception in 1982. Now, as a part of Air Liquide, Airgas remains committed to continuing to pursue acquisition opportunities in key markets to help realize the full potential of the newly combined company,” said Andrew Cichocki, chief operating officer of Airgas.
Airgas has completed 22 acquisitions since June 1, 2015.
