NAVAC debuts industry’s smallest dry screw vacuum pump
NAVAC Industrial Vacuum, a manufacturer of industrial vacuum pumps, recently debuted its HelixDrive HD8, the industry’s smallest dry screw vacuum pump, at two key industry events: the Best Practices Expo and the AVS 70th International Symposium & Exhibition.
At Best Practices Expo, the HelixDrive HD8 made its debut, showcasing its innovative screw-type vacuum technology. The NAVAC Industrial Vacuum team demonstrated the pump’s key features through a cutaway model, highlighting its compact size and robust performance for industrial applications. Following, the HD8 was also presented at AVS 70, where industry professionals recognized its potential for revolutionizing vacuum solutions in various sectors.
Key features of the HelixDrive HD8 include:
- Highly Efficient PMSM Motor: Delivers superior performance, achieving high efficiency levels.
- Air-Cooling System: Allows for easier set up than typical water-cooled screw pumps.
- Prolonged Durability: Enhanced moisture handling and effective removal of particles via its Gas Ballast and Purge Gas Module.
- Motor Technology: Adapted advanced technology from electric vehicle (EV) motors, ensuring stable operation under vibration and improved heat dissipation.
- Variable Pitch Rotor: Allows for significant energy savings, reduced heat, and minimal noise and vibration.

- Compact Vector Control Drive: Provides precise frequency control with advanced safety features such as Safe Torque Off (STO) and easy PLC programming.
Alongside the HelixDrive HD8, NAVAC Industrial Vacuum’s Helix Drive Series also includes the HD20 and HD40 models, both of which feature air-cooling systems and coaxial rotor and motor shafts, delivering exceptional compactness and ease of use.
