PTDA Foundation awards new employee, student scholarships
Addressing the need for skilled power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) professionals through a scholarship program launched last year, the PTDA Foundation has awarded $2,500 to four industry employees and and $3,000 to five college students pursuing careers in PT/MC.
“We’re proud to mark the second year of the PTDA Foundation scholarship program, said Matt Pavlinsky, PTDA Foundation president. “The number of applicants continues to grow, reflecting strong interest in PT/MC fields. This year’s scholarships recognize outstanding students as well as those seeking continuing education, and with the program set to expand in 2026, we can support even more talent entering or working in the industry.”
Employee scholarships went to:
Stanis Arcel Fotsing Talla, Motion
University of Quebec, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree mechanical engineering
Chantal Guzman Del Castillo, Regal Rexnord
Milwaukee Area Technical School, pursuing an associate’s degree mechanical engineering technology
Jacob Miller, SEW-Eurodrive Inc.
University of South Carolina Upstate, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology management
Isabel Walsh, Regal Rexnord
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration
“This scholarship not only helps me ease the financial burden of my tuition and school supplies but also reminds me that I am supported by a strong community of industry leaders,” saidsFotsing Talla. “This recognition further motivates me to study, grow, and contribute to the power transmission and motion industry.”

“I am deeply grateful to be selected as a 2025 PTDA Foundation student scholarship recipient," said Miller "I recently began my senior year in the Industrial Distribution program at Texas A&M, where I enjoy contributing to the industrial distribution community and supporting the growth of my peers. This scholarship directly supports my ability to balance a demanding academic schedule with professional development opportunities."
