Ansell HyFlex 11-812 for rotating tool protection

Ansell announced the launch of HyFlex 11-812, an easy tear glove designed specifically to reduce the risk of injuries when working with rotating tools.

HyFlex 11-812The glove is engineered to break apart at various high-risk areas, such as the palm, index finger and thumb, allowing workers to easily remove their hands in case of entanglement.

HyFlex 11-812 was developed to address feedback received from safety professionals and workers with regards to challenges faced when working with rotating tools. Assembly line workers who use these tools daily run the risk of their gloves becoming entangled, which can result in crushed fingers or even amputation. For this reason, workers often perform these tasks with bare hands, which increases the risk of other injuries. The unique knitted design of HyFlex 11-812 ensures greater worker safety and compliance by enabling the glove to easily tear away and the worker to remove his or her hand should it become entangled in a tool.

“Addressing specific customer needs is the core of our business and understanding worker risk when using rotating tools was critical to developing this glove,” said Steve Genzer, president of the Ansell Industrial Global Business Unit. “Safety professionals who specify use of the new HyFlex 11-812 gloves can have peace of mind knowing that, should accidental entanglement occur, workers will sacrifice their gloves, and nothing else.”

This glove’s ultra-thin design provides the tactility needed for workers to grab even the smallest parts. In addition, the glove is made with ZONZ Comfort Fit Technology which keeps workers’ hands cool and comfortable as they work through various tasks. It is suitable for workers in multiple industries, including automotive, machinery and equipment, maintenance and metal fabrication. The glove complies with EN 388 and ANSI Abrasion Level 2 standards and is available in sizes 6-10.
