Hitachi 18V Lithium Ion DGL Series
Hitachi Power Tools announced the launch of its new 18V Lithium Ion DGL series with Driver Drill, model DS18DGL.

The DS18DGL is powered by a powerful Lithium Ion slide-type battery for fade free power, less weight and 3x the total battery life of traditional Ni-Cd batteries. Hitachi has optimized the design thanks to the slide-type Lithium Ion battery pack that eliminates the vertical cell battery chamber. This permits the handle to be ergonomically designed, resulting in improved comfort and greater control. The feel of the tool in hand reflects Hitachi’s detailed attention to balance, grip and pressure points; making this tool extremely comfortable to use.
The DS18DGL driver drill delivers a powerful 400 in/lbs of torque to power through tough jobs. A 22+1 clutch delivers 22 torque settings, and a drill mode for ultimate precision and control. Additionally, the two speed gear setting allows the user to match the appropriate speed to the application. The ½” keyless chuck is ideal for quick and simple bit replacements. Also, an LED light points upwards from the base of the tool to better illuminate the bit tip and avoid casting shadows. It features a responsive, variable speed trigger that helps to provide complete control during operation. Compact and lightweight at just 3.7lbs, the DS18DGL reduces fatigue in extended or overhead use applications.
