RIDGID cable cutters

RIDGID has introduced a new line of lightweight, ergonomically-designed cable cutters for easy manual cutting.

RIDGID cable cuttersThe line of purpose-built tools includes three ratcheting and two manual cutters to meet electrical contractor’s copper and aluminum cutting needs.

Ratcheting cutters range in weight from 1.5 pounds to 6.4 pounds, have maximum copper capacity ranging from 600 MCM to 1,000 MCM, and maximum aluminum capacity ranging from 750 MCM to 1,000 MCM. The cutters feature a unique ratchet mechanism for easy cuts and a blade release that can be used at any point during the cutting cycle. An enclosed spring is protected from debris and loss during use. They also have a lock/unlock mechanism to secure tools when not in use.

Manual cutters range in weight from 1.5 pounds to 3.3 pounds, have maximum capacity for both aluminum and copper ranging from 500 MCM to 1,000 MCM. Each features a sickle-shaped, rounded blade for precise cutting. They also have impact resistant coated and hardened handles with a soft grip for additional ergonomics.

“The tools were intentionally built with the highest quality blades for cutting ease and to minimize contractor fatigue when cutting cable. RIDGID is continuing its tradition of creating tools with the contractor in mind and our new line of cable cutters is no exception,” said Gina Hartman, RIDGID global marketing manager.
