OLFA introduces concealed blade safety knife
The tools to cut shrink wrap, stretch wrap, plastic strapping, nylon, sacks and bags have evolved.
Years ago, they might have looked much like a simple kitchen knife. Today, more advanced safety solutions are being introduced to help protect workers who cut these materials. OLFA, a leader in high-quality safety knives, announces the next stage in development – its new SK-10 Concealed Blade Safety Knife.
Warehouse workers and those in charge of employee safety, can now 'look under the hood' to see the OLFA difference in safety and design. The new OLFA SK-10 Concealed Blade Safety Knife features a four-position adjustable blade design, a Nylon 6 Polyamide handle and a tool-free blade change. This "gooseneck" style safety knife is versatile and can cut a variety of materials up to 5/32" (4mm) in thickness, as well as boxing tape with its stainless steel tape slitter.
"The SK-10 Concealed Blade Safety Knife helps increase safety and productivity with a new design that shields the blade helping to prevent product and bodily lacerations, while allowing access to four cutting points on a single-edge blade," said Mark Alder, Director of Marketing for OLFA. "This gives users four times more cuts than when using a comparable single-edge, fixed blade safety knife, and joins our tradition of producing the 'best made cutting tools in the world.'"
