Versatile, secure fixturing with Fixtureworks hook clamp assemblies
Fixtureworks, a supplier of workholding and fixturing technologies, now includes the full range of metric-sized hook clamp assemblies.
The clamps are available in styles for either medium or heavy-duty applications. They are made from premium alloy steels, hardened for wear, given a black oxide finish and precision ground for accuracy. The hook clamps provide optimum downward force to securely hold workpieces to fixture bases for safe, rigid and consistent machining, fabrication, and assembly operations. The hook clamp designs maintain a low profile to minimize obstructions and interference with tool paths and processing access, thus helping to eliminate multiple setups and secondary operations
These clamps can be mounted directly to a fixture base adapted to accept the clamp base or attached to the fixture using a clamp holder (specifications available from Fixtureworks). Each clamp configuration includes a spring that raises the clamp arm above the workpiece to facilitate loading/unloading. Clamp selection also includes models with a tapped hole in the clamp arm for using adjustable screw stops which extends the working range of the clamp and to add flexibility.
The hook clamp assemblies designated BJ130 are swing-type clamps that are available with either a cylindrical mount holder or a flanged mount holder. Hook clamp assemblies designated BJ132 are compact swing clamps that are also available with either a cylindrical holder or flanged holder.
The BJ130A hook clamps are available in clamp heights from 103 to 181 mm with thread sizes from M8 x 1.25 to M12 x 1.75 and with clamping arm radius from 20 to 60 mm providing 3375 to 8775 lb. of clamping force.
The BJ132A hook clamps are available in clamp heights from 56-67 mm with M4 x 0.70 and M5 x 0.80 thread and with clamping force of 450 and 787 lbs.
The BJ130B hook clamps are available in clamp heights from 58-65 mm with M12 x 1.75 thread with clamping arm radius from 20 to 60 mm.
The BJ132 B variety are available with clamp heights 26 and 32 mm with M4 x 0.70 and M5 x 0.80 thread and base widths of 34 and 40 mm.
