2013 PTDA Industry Summit

More than 550 power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) executives are expected to convene at the Power Transmission Distributors Association’s (PTDA’s) Industry Summit, themed “Working Without a Net?”

In addition to being a cost-efficient and powerful connection hub, the emphasis on current events and economic trends provides attendees with the net they need to be more secure in their plans for business moving into 2014 and beyond.

To be held at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, Calif., on Oct. 3-5, 2013, the Industry Summit is the premier global venue for distributors and manufacturers of power transmission and motion control products to develop industry contacts and hear the latest on the economy and technological trends.

The Industry Summit’s signature event, the Manufacturer-Distributor Idea Exchange (MD-IDEX), is the foremost networking opportunity for distributor and manufacturer executives looking to discuss issues and concerns, expand their distribution network and develop new partnerships.

Jeffrey Gitomer, founder and president of TrainOne Inc., and Alan Beaulieu, founder and president of Institute for Trend Research (ITR), are the keynote speakers at PTDA’s Industry Summit. Gitomer, author of the popular The Little Red Book of Selling, will address sales principles in a PT/MC industry-specific presentation. Beaulieu will share economic insights that can help businesses align their strategic plans to marketplace realities. He’ll also examine key economic indicators, industrial production highlights, consumer trends and economic developments in the global marketplace.

This year’s Industry Summit also includes workshops by Jonathan Bein, Ph.D. on exploring marketing strategies for uncertain times; Steve Deist explaining how to put together a market-driven sales force; and Mel Kleiman on how their companies can become “employers of choice.”

Industry Summit registration is now open to members and prospective members of PTDA. For more information, visit www.ptda.org/IndustrySummit. Not a PTDA member but still want to attend? Contact Brenda Holt at bholt@ptda.org or (312) 516-2100.
