New hose safety handbook
The NAHAD Hose Safety Institute recently unveiled its all-new Handbook for the Design & Specification of Hose Assemblies.
It is a comprehensive guide designed to support distributor / end-user conversations about hose assembly safety, quality and reliability. The 312 page Handbook addresses Industrial, Hydraulic, Composite, Corrugated Metal and Fluoropolymer hose assemblies and also includes recommendations for hose assembly testing, packaging, cleaning, installation and identification, as well as a complete Glossary of terms and definitions. The Handbook© is also available as a PDF document, for Hose Safety Institute Members only.
In conjunction with the new Handbook, the Institiute also introduced five new online Handbook Exams, based on each of the five hose assembly types noted above. These new exams replace the previous Specification exams and provide a great tool to supplement employee training and recognition, as well as quality control tools for your business operations. Well over 4,000 exam certificates have been issued to successful applicants since the inception of the program.
