Grainger sales rise in February
Grainger reported sales for February increased 6 percent versus February 2012.
The increase included 4 percentage points from volume, 2 percentage points from price and 1 percentage point from acquisitions, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from foreign exchange. Sales in the United States were up 7 percent, while Canadian sales gained 6 percent (8% in local currency). Sales for other businesses, primarily Asia, Europe and Latin America, were up 7 percent (13% in local currencies).
