H.B. Fuller revenue up 1.3 percent

H.B. Fuller Company reported that net revenue for the first quarter of 2014 were $486.0 million, up 1.3 percent versus the first quarter of 2013.

Organic revenue increased by 2 percent compared to the prior year.

Net income for the quarter was $14.6 million, or 28 cents per diluted share, compared to $20.7 million, or 41 cents, in last year's first quarter.

"Organic revenue growth of 2 percent was below last quarter's results with strong revenue in Asia and Construction Products offset by weak revenue in Europe and slower than expected organic sales growth in the Americas through December, January and February," said Jim Owens, H.B. Fuller president and chief executive officer.
