NetPlus holds regional meeting

NetPlus Alliance hosted its first regional planning sessions in Texas last week.

Suggested by the group’s newly added distributor and supplier advisory councils, the regional planning sessions were organized by NetPlus Alliance vice president of development, Todd Washburn.

“The meetings were productive and allowed the distributor representatives to create and enhance relationships with the local supplier representatives from each manufacturer,” said Washburn. Attending manufacturers included Maudlin Products, Bosch Power Tools, Saint Gobain Abrasives, Motorola, Complete Environmental Products, Brighton Best, Drillco and Newell Rubbermaid.

Two separate meetings were held in Houston and in Arlington, Texas, with pre-scheduled sessions for marketing planning and new sales opportunities.

"The meeting was incredibly productive. My sales associate and I only spent one day away from the office and we met with several potential new manufacturers. We were exposed to new product lines that we wouldn’t have looked at before that can help us grow our business,” said Brenda Wood of Western Supply in Wichita Falls, Texas, a NetPlus Alliance Member since 2006.

Upcoming meetings are planned for the Erie, Pa., Columbus, Ohio, and New England areas. “Over time, the participation of our distributors in these localized meetings will help us to build engagement and deliver a focused distributor base for NetPlus Suppliers. In the age of social media and technology, our industry is still a relationship-based business,” Washburn added.
