Durable goods orders fall
New orders for manufactured durable goods in March decreased $13.1 billion or 5.7 percent to $216.3 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced.
Transportation equipment led the decrease, falling by 15.0 percent to $62.4 billion. Orders for nondefense aircraft and parts decreased $8.5 billion.
Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 1.4 percent.
