Acklands-Grainger opens Saskatoon facility

Acklands-Grainger Inc. celebrated the grand opening of its new 122,000 square-foot facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.


Acklands-Grainger SaskatoonThe facility includes a 102,000 sq ft warehouse along with a branch showroom and regional support centre to service its expanding product lines and customer base.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the opening of this state of the art facility with our loyal customers, supplier partners, talented team members and distinguished community leaders,” said Frank Murray, Acklands-Grainger’s general manager for Saskatchewan during today’s celebration. “We’ve proudly served businesses in this province for more than 70 years and remain committed to helping local industry, such as mining, manufacturing and energy, get the supplies they need to keep their facilities running efficiently and their employees safe on the job. Our new space will help us do just that.”

The distribution centre stores more than 50,000 industrial, safety and fastener products including welding equipment, hand and power tools and electrical, cleaning and safety supplies. The adjacent branch features knowledgeable team members to help customers easily find and order the products they are looking for.

As part of its long-standing commitment to supporting the communities where its team members live and work, Acklands-Grainger continues its provision of office space for The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Chapter in the new facility. “On behalf of the thousands of Saskatchewan children we serve who have benefitted from your generosity over the past 23 years, we thank you,” said Chris Kotsopoulos, CEO, Children’s Wish Foundation. “Our team is proud to call this beautiful building home.”

Acklands-Grainger currently employs 220 team members in the province including more than 90 team members at the Saskatoon Distribution Centre.
