Grainger sales up 5 percent in April
Grainger reported that sales for the month of April increased 5 percent versus April 2013.
Organic sales increased 5 percent, driven by 7 percentage points from volume, partially offset by 2 percentage points from the timing of the Easter holiday.
Sales in the United States increased by 7%, while sales in Canada declined by 12% (5% in local currency).
Sales to all other business, which Grainger defines primarily as Asia, Europe and Latin America, were up by 18% (22% in local currency).
