The Industrial Supply Association announced the winners of its American Eagle Awards at the 2014 Annual Convention in New Orleans on May 17.

JIS (Jergens Industrial Supply) of Cleveland was named winner of the American Eagle Excellence in Industry Award for 2014.

The award recognized how JIS Industrial Supply created a productivity and technology partnership with a customer, Slabe Machine Products, to free up machine time and reduce total tool costs. Working in conjunction with the rep firm Browne & Company, Chardon, Ohio, and carbide cutting tools manufacturer Fullerton Tool Company of Saginaw, Mich., JIS helped Slabe Machine reduce machine time, extend tool life and lower total tooling cost.
