Evonik names business line director
Christian Edlinger was promoted to Business Line Director, Interface & Performance, in the Consumer Specialties Unit of Evonik Corporation.
He is responsible for developing and implementing business strategy for the Americas region, and is a member of the global management team for the Interface & Performance Business Line.
The global Interface & Performance Business Line offers specific expertise in: release coatings for labels and hygiene applications; additives and processing aids for the manufacture of plastics and rubber, fluff pulp, tissue and textiles; wetting agents for safeguarding the efficacy of plant protection agents; as well as additives for building protection and metalworking fluids; and binders for adhesives and sealants.
Edlinger has held several posts at Evonik. Since 2010 he has served as Head of Controlling for the global Personal Care Business Line based in Essen, Germany, where he focused on strategic growth in Asia and South America and acquisition and divestment projects. His career at Evonik began in 2003 as an operational controller for the Performance Materials division.
He earned a degree in business administration from Saarland University in Saarbruecken, Germany.
