Kaman Industrial Technologies sales decline by 2.5 percent

Kaman Industrial Technologies had sales of $267.6 million for the third quarter, a decline of 2.5 percent from $274.4 million in the same period last year.

Operating income of $13.4 million, or 5 percent of sales, compared to operating income of $11.9 million, or 4.3 percent of sales, in last year's third quarter.

"The actions we have taken to drive improved profitability continue to benefit the segment and provide additional opportunity for margin expansion," said Neal J. Keating, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Kaman Corp.

Kaman Corp.'s sales of $447 million for the quarter were 1.4 percent lower than the $453.5 million in the same period last year. Net earnings of $16.3 million, or 58 cents per share, compared to earnings of $17.4 million, or 62 cents, in the 2016 third quarter.
