Essendant sales decline 1.2 percent
Essendant reported that its third-quarter net sales declined 1.2 percent to $1.3 billion compared to the prior year quarter.
The decline was driven by reduced sales in the national reseller channel, partially offset by higher sales in the industrial and automotive customer channels.
Net sales in the Industrial Supplies segment increased 12.0 percent to $160.6 million.
A net loss of $4.5 million, or a loss of 12 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $82 million, or $2.23 per share, in the same period last year.
