Fastenal sales down 5.1% in October
Fastenal reported that sales in October fell 5.1% to $337.9 million, down from $356.3 million in October 2014.
Daily sales of $15.36 million were off by 0.8% from $15.49 million in the same month last year.
Sales to manufacturing customers were down by 0.7%, while sales to non-residential construction customers decreased by 4.7%.
Total store count of 2,626 at the end of October compared to 2,647 stores in October 2014. Thirteen of the 17 stores opened in October 2015 relate to the acquisition of Fasteners Inc.
